Inside St. Pete Recap
LSPAA and the St. Pete Chamber hosted Inside St. Pete on May 20th with 25 participants. The program provided a one-day welcome to newcomers and long-time residents looking for a deeper discovery of St. Pete. On this multi-stop tour, attendees enjoyed an exclusive "insider" view of our city's history, current events, and institutions.
Participants heard from dozens of community leaders and field experts throughout the day. Sessions included St. Pete History, City 2050 Plan, Key Issues in St. Pete, Trolley Tours narrated through downtown’s districts with stops at the Maritime and Defense Technology Hub, Tropicana Field, Duncan McClellan Gallery, and Ferg’s Sports Bar. Each stop included a further discussion with experts on the Innovation District, the 86 Acres of Opportunity, an Arts Panel, and the Business Culture in St. Pete.
Our newest group of “insiders” praised how rewarding and enjoyable Inside St. Pete was as well as how the immersive experience will allow them to feel further engaged, connected, and serve their community.
Thank you to LSPAA Board Members Paul Carder, Cassandra Smalley, and Paul Stellrecht, as well as Cristina Livingston and Chris Steinocher at the St. Petersburg Chamber for planning a successful Inside St. Pete event!
