LSP Alum Kick Off St. Pete Pride Month

On June 1st, St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch kicked off the 2023 St. Pete Pride Month celebrations by raising the City’s Pride flag at St. Pete City Hall. Mayor Welch was joined by members of City Council, staff, Nicole Berman, Executive Director of St. Pete Pride, and members of the St Pete Pride Board of Directors; including some of our own LSP Alum! The Leadership and Executive Board for St. Pete Pride includes LSP Alum Byron Green, class of 2023, who serves as co-vice president, Stephanie Morge, class of 2020, who also serves as co-vice president, and Clifford Hobbs III, class of 2021, who serves as a board member. City staff Markus Hughes, class of 2012, was also present to help raise the flag!

Throughout the month of June, St Pete Pride will host several events, including the annual Pride parade, to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community while show casing the best of St Pete.
